The Armory
Once the most expensive building in Minnesota, the historic Armory building has a long and interesting past. From host to the National Guard, to official court of the NBA’s Lakers, to the filming location for Aerosmith’s famed “I don’t want to miss a thing” these walls have much to tell! Now a revitalized venue for a wide variety of events including official Super Bowl LII concerts and after parties, the Armory has a bright future to be a fixture in Minneapolis entertainment and culture.
Built in 1935, the Armory is a stunning example of Art Deco Architecture and Swervo Development worked to preserve this style while adding a modern twist. The lounge includes opulent crystal chandeliers, furniture in rich velvets and leathers, and Sherman luxury vinyl on the floor. Traditional rugs bring vibrant pattern, color and texture to offset the neutral brick walls and concrete ceilings.
