It is an industry trend for hoteliers to remove carpeting from their suites and replace it with a hard surface flooring. It makes repair and maintenance easier, and creates a cleaner, more sanitary environment for guests. However, when they remove carpet from the units, the impact noise from unit to unit increases.

To combat this and maintain a positive guest experience, Marriott were seeking a cost sensitive acoustical solution. AMB 2000 underlayment was installed with a custom color on a luxury vinyl 5mm Quick platform. The developer and designer were so pleased with the results they have since done two additional hotels with the same system with the promise of many more to come.
